Nearly 50 years' experience in newspapers and magazines gives a photojournalistic perspective to our wedding and portraiture work that brings your special photographs alive with spontaneity. Yes, we will make whatever set-up photographs you wish, but our real forte is in unobtrusively capturing the moment. With two skilled photographers, our wedding coverage is shot from many different angles. If you wish, Maria will photograph the bride and bridesmaids as they prepare for the wedding, while John does similar work with the groom and groomsmen. Out of respect for the solemnity of your wedding, we never use flash during the ceremony. In fact, we avoid flash whenever possible, finding that natural light is almost always more flattering. We are now booking weddings for 2007 and beyond. We are also available for portraits - families, children, engagements, high school seniors, even beloved pets. Our portrait photography is done on location, often in the subject's home or in some special place of their choosing where they feel relaxed and comfortable. Since we're all digital, we deliver your images on CDs. A typical wedding generates about 1,800 images, which means we'll give you nine or 10 CDs full of images. Unlike photographers who make part of their money by holding your images hostage and selling you overpriced prints, we give you all of your images to print or share with friends and relatives as you like. You can print them at home, take the CDs to Walgreens or to a higher quality place like Roberts and print them in the sizes and quantities that fit your budget. You own the images, but we retain the right to use them for promotional and advertising purposes. Our Rates Package #1 - $1,499 Two photographers for an unlimited time. We come to the rehearsal whenever possible to assess lighting and lines of sight. Pre-ceremony photos in the dressing rooms. Formal photos before or after the ceremony, as you choose. Photojournalistic ceremony coverage from the altar and from a second angle. Photos of the couple leaving church, the reception line, dancing, reception festivities. Leather-bound printed photo album with up to 100 pages. We choose the images that will tell the story of your wedding in a photojournalistic style. (Extra albums for parents and relatives — $300 each.) CDs of all photos (we often shoot as many as 2,000 images) in high-resolution, letting you print whatever images you choose for years to come. Photos available in an online gallery for one month following the wedding for friends and relatives to order.
Package #2 - $999 Two photographers for as long as six hours, which could include the rehearsal if you wish. CD of all photos in high-resolution, letting you print whatever images you choose for years to come. Don’t be surprised if we shoot 1,500 images in six hours. We don’t want to miss anything. Photos available in an online gallery for one month following the wedding for friends and relatives to order. For an additional $500, we will prepare a leather-bound printed photo album with up to 100 pages. We choose the images that will tell the story of your wedding in a photojournalistic style.
